After graduating and completing his residency, Dr. Castillo opened his first office in Paterson, New Jersey and later, an office located in Oakland, New Jersey. He wanted to deliver a very important service to the Spanish speaking communities of the area and provide them with the personal and welcoming atmosphere of a local pharmacy. In his platform as a politician, Castillo makes it a priority to help bolster and maintain small businesses because he knows personally what it takes to operate an entrepreneurship. Through several years of working directly with the community, Castillo listened and understood their concerns with an open mind. “After getting my medical license, owning and operating my own small business is one of the most challenging but rewarding things I have ever done.
